Looking over my YouTube channel and cleaning up a bit, I saw the very many Crusader Kings II playlists I had created through the years. I got a nice mix of “Learning as we Play” (guide type teaching playlists, where I explain everything I do, as I do it – so you understand how the game is played) as well as the very fun Monarch’s Journey, which I completed in its entirety back then.

I figured I might go ahead and just collect those playlists here, as I am unlikely to add any more going forward.

Learning as we play / How to playlists for Crusader Kings II

Starting out is the playlist on how to play a merchant republic in Crusader Kings II. We were playing as the house Galbaio with all DLC enabled and of course, Ironman. This goes for all the following playlists as well.

Next up is a playlist on how to play as a horse lord in Crusader Kings II. Again in Ironman and with all DLC enabled.

A little bit more basic is how to play as a feudal lord in CK II – Ironman and all DLC enabled (I believe, anyway).

Crusader Kings II Monarch’s Journey all challenges on Ironman full playlists

I don’t quite remember the proper order of them all. You can read more on the event leading up to CK3 over here: https://ck2.paradoxwikis.com/Interesting_characters_guide#Monarch.27s_Journey

Basically you could earn points and unlock cosmetics (which later became available to all Crusader Kings III players). It was a fun event and I played a whole lot of rulers I never figured I might.

Before we get into the videos themselves, I had created two charts outlining which of these Monarch’s Journey challenges I had enjoyed most.

First off, a little pie chart showing which Monarch’s Journey took the longest, King Stefan the First Crowned leading the charge with 21 hours to achieve our goals and some being done in under 4 hours.

Next up a bar chart showcasing which Monarch’s Journey had the longest episodes (on average). The larger the dark blue bar (especially compared to the accompanying light blue bar), the more fun I had playing the specific Monarch’s Journey. Going by this, I believe King Louis “The Stammerer” might have been the most fun to play and was also the quickest by far.

Going by this chart, you could plot a little path through which to watch first, like King Konan, Duke Kulin Kulinic or King Basarab I.

Either way, here are all the playlists for the Monarch’s Journey!

And last, but not least, a single playlist on the achievement “What could have been” for Crusader Kings II on Ironman as well. This is no longer part of the Monarch’s Journey, but I figured it would or could be fun to include.

I hope you could find a few playlists on here that could give you some joy and fun. It has been a long time for me to play these and it was a nice little trip down memory lane seeing where we came from with my little channel. By now we’re also active over on twitch: https://twitch.tv/imperorthefirst

Come check out what we’re up to, become part of the community and share our love for way too complicated games with fantastic emergent gameplay.
